DIY installed. Wasn’t too complicated. Directions lack info on breaker size and had a little difficulty with the disconnect box we chose so we ordered the disconnect box on Mr. Cool site and that one worked great. We use this in an almost 600 sqft room with walk behind closet and heats/cools perfectly, even throughout the closet area.
This system was so easy to set up, pretty much any homeowner with a crescent wrench and a holesaw can do this job. My kit said it came with a whole saw, but it did not, make sure you buy the complete holesaw when you get one.
Best mini ever
This mini-split is a game changer!!! Minus some supply voltage troubleshooting on the homes end, the entire process went smooth. As with all instructions - you do have to be flexible & handy. Really simple install when the process gets planned in advance. Tech-support is tops considering that we are in peak-heat season. Even though the flaws found were on the home-owners end, Mr. Cool rep worked to find us resolve until we were up and running. Not a product problem as this thing is A+. The unit outperforms & replaces 1 portable and 2 window units in our old farmhouse and draws fewer total amps!
Great product and great service. Installed a 12,000 BTU unit about two months ago. Install was straight forward. Watched videos on YouTube and was very easy. Highly recommend!!

I purchased a 3 zone mini split. When the unit arrived MRCOOL had mistakenly shipped the wrong type of air handlers. Matt sorted out the exchange and I had the correct units delivered and was provided shipping labels for the return units. During installation I discovered I needed longer line sets than I had originally ordered. I was able to purchase the correct lengths and return my unopened line sets. MRCOOL diy direct was very responsive and I’m happy with my installed system. I would not hesitate to buy again.
Can't say enough about Matt's customer service. I installed a 3 unit ceiling mounted mini split system, which comes with understandable challenges, both structural and technical in nature. When I needed quick and concise answers, Matt rose to the occasion. He also offered the best pricing I found anywhere online. I highly recommend his company.
